Science Fiction Battlefield Medicine and Bacta Tanks: No Easy Answers. Most MILSF handwaves solutions to future battlefield trauma (“Put him in the magic medic box!”,) yet MILSF can provocatively anticipate more realistic options, such as blood substitutes, and robotic surgery. What flavor of future medical technology is potentially achievable, and how should we represent it in MILSF?
